Summit County may be known for it’s world-class ski resorts but that’s not all that makes this year-round destination family friendly! From tubing and ice skating on the largest outdoor ice rink in the Rockies, to an indoor water park and mountaintop cookie shop, Summit County provides fun for all ages!

A day at the ski resort may not be for everyone but that doesn’t mean staying away from the snow! Located just 9 miles from Breckenridge, Frisco Adventure Park offers a multi-lane tubing hill, beginner ski & ride hill, over 28 miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails and scenic and dinner sleigh rides amongst the snowy peaks! Reservations for all activities is required.

Looking for something a little more exciting? Good Times Adventures in Breckenridge offers guests to ‘Ride the Divide’ - a two-hour scenic snowmobile tour through the Swan River Valley and up Georgia Pass, ending at 11,585 feet – the top of the Continental Divide.

Snow machines not your style? What about a 6-mile dog sled relay? For tours with up to 6 people, guests switch off between running the Siberian Huskies, riding in the dogsled, and riding in the passenger sleigh.

Break out those skates! Keystone Lake boasts five acres of the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor ice rink in North America. Situated in Lakeside Village, this is the perfect setting for a family photo! No skates? No problem. Both Keystone Lake and Dercum Square Ice Rink(located in Keystone’s River Run Village) offer rentals for skates, hockey sticks, pucks and assistance stands.

Keystone Resort also boasts Kidtopia, offering fun-filled activities for kids and families daily. From exploring the world’s largest snow fort to free cookies at the ice rink, enjoy something for everyone!

Get out of the cold and take a dip at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Relax in the lazy river swim stream, get in some laps or take a ride on the slide (for adults, too!) The leisure pool’s zero depth entry is safe for even the smallest swimmers.

Top the day off with a trip to Mountain Top Cookie Shop. Located on Main Street in Breckenridge, you can’t miss the delicious aroma wafting locals and visitors alike into this sweet little sweet shop!

With so much to do in Summit County, no wonder it’s become known as ‘Colorado’s Playground!’
