Summit County is the perfect getaway if you're looking to find a winter wonderland! While known for its world-class skiing, there is no shortage of activities available off the slopes. Check out a few of our favorites:

Sledding

Looking for something the whole family can enjoy? Head over to Carter Park in Breckenridge. The park has an easy slope for the kids to navigate and offers a great view of Ten Mile Range. Looking for something a little more extreme? Check out Frisco Adventure Parks multi-lane tubing hill!

Dog Sledding

By far one of Breckenridge's most popular activities, dog sledding is the perfect way to spend some time on the mountains while taking in the scenery and a few furry kisses! Good Times Adventures will be offering trips on a reservation basis with limited occupancy, so be sure to book early.

Ice Skating

Don’t pass up the opportunity to partake in a favorite winter past-time! Both indoor and outdoor rinks are open to the public, as well as places to get out on the frozen lake. Check out our local recommendations for skating around summit county here.

Sleigh Rides

Make family memories dashing through the snow on a one-horse open sleigh! Book a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the scenic and tranquil snowdrifts. Choose from a romantic sleigh ride for twodinner theater, or a scenic ride with hot cocoa.

Shopping & Dining

Looking for something to warm you up after long days of outdoor activities? Shopping and dining will not disappoint! Wander down historic Main Street and feel the welcoming vibe of the boutiques while doing a little shopping. Then indulge in a happy hour or find a cozy café to enjoy coffee fireside - with hundreds of restaurants, there is something for everyone! You can find a few of our favorites here, including our go-to Hearthstone.

For those who want to spend most of your time on the lifts, we highly recommend purchasing a pass this year to ensure you get the dates you wish to reserve. Lift tickets will go on sale December 8th to the general public after pass holders reserve their priority days. As a pass holder, you would receive an early opportunity to reserve up to seven Priority Reservation Days for the core season (December 8th - April 4th) before lift tickets go on sale to the public. The exclusive reservation window runs from November 6th through December 7th. If you cannot get the Priority Reservation Days you want by December 7th and have not used your pass, you can get a refund with Epic Coverage. You can find more information and pass options here.

Due to reduced capacities this year, we recommend planning ahead by making reservations early to be sure you make the most of your time in the mountains. When you stay in one of our properties, you also receive the convenience of KEY, a hospitality team that is ready to transform your travels into an unforgettable experience. From in-home amenities like Pre-arrival Grocery Delivery and Private Chefs to unique experiences like Horseback Riding and Backcountry Snowmobile Tours, KEY’s team is available to create a personalized itinerary of the best Summit County has to offer!
