If the heart of Summit County is the mountains, then the way to it is through Silverthorne and Dillon – literally. Stretching to the South of I-70, Dillon delivers varied and delicious dining experiences alongside Dillon Reservoir. To the north, Silverthorne offers assorted dining options as well as outlet shopping.

The Arapahoe Cafe is an all-time favorite for visitors and locals alike with hearty dishes served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Continuously rated one of the best restaurants in Summit County, The Arapahoe Cafe has earned Best of Summit County Awards like Best BBQ, Best Restaurant in Dillon and Best Lunch in Summit County for 2016 to name a few. Breakfasts include Rocky Mountain staples like Trout & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros while lunch and dinner include bison burgers, sandwiches, and the highly acclaimed BBQ with a choice of brisket, pulled pork or turkey and Head Country BBQ sauce.

For an even more casual dining experience, The Arapahoe Cafe’s menu extends to the Pub Down Under, a local favorite located right below the Cafe. Offering nightly dinner and drink specials, the Pub Down Under is the perfect place to grab a beer and watch the game.

If you’re looking for the best damn beer this side of the Continental Divide, then head to the Dillon Dam Brewery. With more than a dozen beers on tap – all brewed in-house, of course – the Dam Brewery has enough variety to keep all kinds of beer lovers happy! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations based on taste preferences. With a great family environment, the Dam Brewery isn’t exclusive to beer drinkers. Lunch and dinner include pub favorites, like mac & cheese, chicken pot pie, prime rib, and bison sausage. Enjoy a seasonal brunch menu Friday through Sunday. Just don’t be offended when the wait staff tells you “Here’s Your Dam IPA” – it’s one of their signature beers!

If you’re starting your day in Silverthorne, the place to fuel up is the Sunshine Cafe. Serving breakfast from 7 am to 3 pm everyday, the Sunshine Cafe has earned it’s title as a local favorite. An unassuming storefront off of Rte 6, Sunshine Cafe’s menu has been serving hearty meals for over 30 years. Three egg omelets, griddle cakes and breakfast burritos kick off all day breakfast alongside Bloody Mary’s and mimosas.

Silverthorne also boasts Sauce on the Blue, a tiny slice of Italy at the height of Summit County. Offering a daily lunch and dinner menu as well as Sunday Brunch, Sauce on the Blue’s Italian focused menu is inspired by the old world style. Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne Gorgonzola and Linguini Fra Diavolo are just a few of the classic Italian dishes, served alongside Colorado Filet Mignon and seared salmon. Sauce on the Blue also offers hand tossed pizza, made with homemade dough and, of course, sauce. Make sure to try the tiramisu – continuously voted the best of Summit County!
