As the saying goes, the best way to start your day is with a good cup o’ joe. Summit County certainly has plenty of coffee spots to get you started, but if you’re looking for something a little unique that features some tasty treats as well, we recommend these four stops:

  1. Mimi and Pin: For a little taste of Spain in the morning, check out Mimi and Pin. Located on North Main St. in downtown Breck, Mimi and Pin are famous for their Spanish coffee and their menu of artisanal churros. Whether you like your churros stuffed, glazed, or simply plain, they’ve got you covered. They also have freshly made Belgium waffles! Of course, don’t forget the coffee, they have all the best coffee drinks made with Spanish coffee from Oquendo. Find their hours and menus here: Mimi and Pin.

  2. Semplice Café: For delicious vegan and vegetarian options, we suggest stopping by  Semplice Café. Conveniently located on N. Main St. in downtown Breck, they boast clean, local, and organic ingredients for their dishes. We recommend one of their unique breakfast burritos or a vegan panini to fill your belly. Of course, the coffee is a must-grab too, with delicious coffee beverages from Breck Coffee Roasters. Check out their menus here: Semplice Café.

  3. Sugar Lips Mini Donuts: Start your day in Copper Mountain with one of the best local coffee and donut joints, Sugar Lips Mini Donuts. They offer a variety of donuts in different sizes to perfectly fit your hunger level. Top your donuts with a “fancy schmancy” topping or grab a classic topping if you prefer. They also serve ice cream! When it comes to their coffee, they dish up the freshest hot and cold coffee drinks from Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters. See their hours and location here: Sugar Lips Mini Donuts.

  4. La Française: If you’re in the mood for something gourmet, we recommend the traditional French bakery, La Française. Located on S. Main St. in downtown Breck, they offer a tantalizing menu full of traditional French dishes, including specialty omelettes and crepes. They also offer a wide array of cold and hot French-style coffee beverages. And if you need a beautiful and delicious baked good for a special occasion, visit their sister store, Oh LaLa. View their full menu and hours here: La Française.
