Guests to Summit County are often looking for adventure among the mountains, but find themselves pleasantly surprised by the world-class cuisine. From local favorites to slope slide happy hours, Summit County delivers with locally inspired and creative fare.

Distinctively Colorado, the Keystone Ranch offers an authentic steakhouse experience featuring the finest quality meats and locally sourced produce. Established as a homestead and working ranch in the 1930s, the Ranch was active during the construction of Loveland Pass (US 6 over the Continental Divide). The genuine rustic elegance – including stone fireplaces, sweeping views of the golf course and mountains – pays homage to the ranchers and farmers who helped settle the area. It is truly a unique family dining experience.

Open only for dinner during summer hours, be sure to book a reservation in order to ensure seating on the patio, overlooking the rolling valley and mountains. An extensive wine list accompanies the varied and creative menu and the Bison Tartare or Veal Cheeks are the way to start off the meal. The Beef and Barley Kettle Soup and Ranch Caprese are highly recommended by visitors and locals alike, but the reason the Keystone Ranch has such wonderful reviews: the steak.

Size and cut vary but the 16 oz Ribeye and Mishima Reserve Black Wagyu N.Y. Strip are most popular. Buffalo or Beef tenderloin, Wagyu Sirloin and Berkshire Pork Chop round out the steak menu, accompanied by a variety of vegetables, potatoes or chef’s risotto. Sauces include citrus béarnaise, cabernet veal reduction, and wild game bordelaise vanilla gastrique. Add a butter poached lobster tail, lump crab or rossini foie gras.

If steak is not what you’ve come to the Ranch for, the Colorado-inspired menu offers Stuffed Quail, Rack of Lamb, or Chef’s Fresh Catch among other delicious items.

The Ranch certainly knows not to skimp on dessert and each item is made from scratch. Ordered with dinner and served to guests in the ‘living room’ next to the fire, desserts include Peach Mousse, Ranch Signature Grand Marnier Souffle and Lavender Mascarpone Crème Brulee.

Perfect for a special occasion or to just enjoy the rustic beauty of Colorado, the Keystone Ranch is a must-visit! Reservations recommended.
