As snow has already started falling in the high country, Summit County can’t help but get excited about the upcoming ski season. Miles of ski trails and bluebird days followed by some apres ski at altitude is the highlight of the year for most locals and visitors. If you’re planning to hit the slopes this year, learn about the resorts opening dates below!
Arapahoe Basin, situated on the Continental Divide, is consistently one of the earliest resorts to start turning their lifts. Trail selection is limited but if you just can’t wait to get on the hill, this will do the trick.
Keystone will open select trails on 11/10, kicking off the party in Gondola Plaza with free coffee, hot chocolate and donut holes!
Breckenridge always kicks off the season in style and the seasons opens 11/10 with a party honoring Ullr, God of winter.
Copper will be open for business on 11/10, too, where flakes have already begun to fall.
Vail will open 11/17 and often opens with plenty of terrain to explore.
Beaver Creek, with its world-class accommodations, will open just in time for a Thanksgiving ski trip on 11/22. Enjoy a complimentary cup of hot cocoa and the World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition in the village.
