Known for it’s extended season, Arapahoe Basin doesn’t just pride itself on opening early and riding well into the summer months (although summer skiing and riding in Colorado really is wonderful.) This independent operation works hard to keep its reputation as the place to party! Epic views, even better terrain, and a world-famous Bloody Mary await you at the Basin!

Located on the Continental Divide, A-Basin is situated in and surrounded by miles of National Forest. The high elevation means fresh snow almost regularly and is also helpful in extending the season. Nine lifts service 107 trails for all abilities and experts won’t want to miss the East Wall – expert only skiing along the Continental Divide. In 2017, A-Basin opened new intermediate and expert terrain called The Beavers – 36 runs spread out over 468 acres featuring open bowls, groomers, glades, and challenging chutes. Make it the perfect day by reserving a parking spot on The Beach, a ski-in and ski-out picnic area made for tailgating. With affordable lift tickets and terrain for all skill levels, A-Basin always guarantees a good time!

A-Basin’s dining options offer something for everyone – from the taco truck located in Mountain Goat Plaza to the newly-opened mountain top bistro, Il Rifugio at Snowplume, guests know it’s best to work up an appetite while on the slopes. Stop for a quick lunch at the mid-mountain Black Mountain Lodge but locals know it’s best to end the day at the 6th Alley Bar and Grill with a Bacon Bloody Mary!

One of the most special experiences at A-Basin is the Moonlight Dinners. Held at the mid-mountain Black Mountain Lodge, these reservation-only dinners held ‘after hours’ on the mountain include a four-course, buffet-style dining experience and feature live entertainment. Each unique event focuses on different culinary traditions from around the world. Reservations must be made in advance and do sell out very quickly.

When A-Basin remodeled the A-Frame lodge and made updates to Mountain Goat Plaza, the ticket window building was designed to also function as a stage. Here you’ll find live music, brewery festivals, visits from Santa, and more throughout the season. The events calendar is updated regularly with new happenings and spring skiing typically brings music and events for the whole family.
